Miss Jacqueline Jones is
behind every item of the Miss Jones lingerie collection. A theatrical costumier
who has styled period dramas for film and television, the collections are
inspired by the luxury and sensuality of grander times and photographs of
burlesque starlets and actresses from the silver screen of the 1930’s and
1940’s cover the walls of the Miss Jones studio.

The Art of the Tease
“I
believe there is a Burlesque starlet in every woman. The appeal is that it is not to be taken too seriously; it’s
about feeling gorgeous and wanting to share a moment of fun with your
lover. Beautiful accessories such
as the Silk Tie-ups, Eye Mask and Pasties I have designed help to create a
playful boudoir; the opulent decoration and softness make them luxurious. Silk
ribbons delicately hold the pieces in place, hand tied in bows that can be
easily unravelled from all sides….it’s a balance between what can be considered
“Risqué” and keeping everything soft, feminine, and above all, sensual”

Vive La Difference
Miss
Jones takes elements of traditional Bridal couture and weaves them into
something a little more daring for the Bride who would like something more
indulgent and unique. The Scarlett and Susannah collections feature exquisite
rose pasties encrusted with real Swarovski crystals and French Chantilly lace wedding
garters in red and fuschia pink, the ultimate in femininity. The seductive sheer black collections
also feature a wedding garter in classic French black lace-so mysterious and
sensual, an unexpected secret under a traditional gown perhaps?

Jacqueline trained at The
Bristol Old Vic theatre school in Bristol where she learnt traditional couture
construction techniques. The same skills are applied to the lingerie
collections, carefully handcrafting delicate unique pieces to a high level of
detail and finish. Only the finest quality fabrics are used, luxurious fine
silk and French leavers lace, each piece is embellished by hand with real
Swarovski crystals, beads and pearls.
Born
in London and raised in Devon, Jacqueline now works from her studio in France
and Bristol UK.
